MEET THE COACHES

 Coach JP brings over 30 years of competitive basketball playing experience and 11 years of coaching children. Beyond basketball, he also has 15 years of expertise as a Fitness Coach.

Passionate about the game, Coach JP values the lessons basketball gave him growing up and is committed to passing them on to the next generation. He strives to instill confidence, discipline, and hard work—skills that are essential not only on the court but also in life.

Experience: Coach Anthony began playing basketball at a young age and continued competing through high school and community college. He has coached at both the high school and middle school levels, and has been part of Prolific Hoops for multiple seasons. His focus is on helping players build strong fundamentals, develop teamwork, and foster a lasting love for the game.

What He Loves Most About Basketball: He loves how basketball brings people together, builds confidence, and challenges players with the strategy needed to win.

Favorite Part of Coaching: Coach Anthony finds the most joy in watching kids light up when they master something new. That moment of achievement is what makes coaching so rewarding.

Advice for Players: “Work on a fundamental skill 10 minutes per day at home or at a park, and over time that extra practice will set you apart from your peers.”

Fun Fact: In 2008, Coach Anthony worked as a fan photographer for the Golden State Warriors — one of his favorite jobs ever. Go Warriors! 

Experience: 3 years coaching and over 10 years playing basketball, competing through elementary, middle, and high school. He has also played for AA teams such as Royal King and Dream Elite, winning multiple tournaments.

What He Loves About Basketball: The unmatched feeling of shooting a perfect shot and being in a flow state.

Favorite Part of Coaching: Seeing players improve week by week and appreciating the hard work they put in.

Advice for Players: "Challenge yourself to get 1% better every day."

Fun Fact: His favorite player is Paul George, and he loves watching his smooth dribbling highlights.

Experience: Started playing basketball at 11 years old and competed in all middle school seasons.

What He Loves About Basketball: The fast pace and competition - no matter how good or quick you are, there's always someone better to challenge you.

Favorite Part of Coaching: Passing down what I've learned to others who share the same love for the game.

Advice for Players: "The more time you put into the sport, the better you'll get - so keep working hard."

Fun Fact: His favorite player is Jalen Green, but his favorite team is the Warriors.

Experience: Coach Subhasri began playing basketball at the age of 10. She played with Prolific Hoops for two years and also gained competitive experience in middle school.

What She Loves Most About Basketball: She loves the fast-paced and competitive nature of the game, as well as the way it brings people together.

Favorite Part of Coaching: Enjoys building connections with players and seeing them grow as basketball players.

Advice for Players: “Play hard and have fun while doing it.”

Fun Fact: She is a huge fan of Paige Bueckers and hopes to watch her play for the Dallas Wings in person one day.

Experience: Coach Vinay began playing basketball at age 11 and was one of Coach JP’s very first students.

What He Loves About Basketball: The teamwork—how every player has a role, and true success only comes when everyone works together.

Favorite Part of Coaching
Helping kids get outside, stay active, and discover the same joy in the game that inspired him growing up.

Advice for Players: “Don’t let one bad performance define you—learn from it and keep moving forward.”

Fun Fact: His favorite player is Amen Thompson, and he’s a dedicated fan of the Houston Rockets.

Experience: Prolific Pete has been part of the Prolific Hoops family since day one. As our official mascot, he brings endless energy, positivity, and team spirit to every class, game, and event.

What He Loves Most About Basketball: Pete loves the excitement of the game, the roar of the crowd, and seeing players give their best effort while having fun.

Favorite Part of Coaching: Cheering on players, celebrating big moments, and reminding everyone that basketball is about joy as much as it is about competition.

Advice for Players: “Work hard, stay positive, and always play with a smile!” 😁

Fun Fact: Pete is known for his epic high-fives and is always ready to pose for photos with players and families. 📸
